Nick DeWitt is a native of Syracuse, NY and attended High School at Bishop Grimes in East Syracuse. While playing soccer in High School, he was awarded First Team All County, All Central New York Honors, and helped clinch a Sectional appearance for the first time in Bishop Grimes’ History. After High School, Nick attended Canisius College where he played soccer for the Golden Griffins. During his tenure at Canisius, he earned a Bachelor of Science where he majored in Physical Education with a minor in Sport Administration.
In addition to playing, Nick has coached youth soccer for over a decade. He most recently served as the Director of Operations from 2006-2010 for the North Meck Soccer Club in Cornelius, NC. “North Meck is where I really got the chance to become a student of the game. North Meck’s Executive Director, Thomas Finlay, facilitated an environment for a coach to surround himself with some of the best in the game, but encouraged you to form your own coaching philosophy and methodology.” Nick currently holds his NSCAA National Diploma as well as the USSF National “D” License.
Nick recently moved back to the WNY area from Charlotte, North Carolina. He is residing in Hamburg, NY with his fiancé Danielle and his daughter Gianna.
